WHITE SPACE PROJECT

THIS WEEK I HAVE BEEN CREWING FOR ANOTHER VERSION OF 'MIDSUMMER' WHICH HAS BEEN IN PRODUCTION SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE COCHRANE PROJECT. THEIR PROJECT BRIEF WAS SIMILAR TO MINE, 8 DESIGNERS DESIGNING THE SET AND COSTUME FOR 8 SCENES OF 'A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM'. THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OURS AND THEIR PROJECT IS THAT OUR ONE IS AN OPERATIC VERSION OF MIDSUMMER. SO THERE WAS NO SINGING THIS TIME. THAT IS YET TO COME. SO, WHILST WORK ON MY PROJECT HAS STALLED, LETS TAKE SOME TIME TO HAVE A BADGERS AT WHAT OTHER STUDENT DESIGNERS ON MY COURSE DID FOR THEIR VERSION OF 'MIDSUMMER'.

THE WHITE SPACE IS BASICALLY A BIG WHITE ROOM WHICH IS QUITE DIFFICULT TO MAKE LOOK GOOD. LEFKI (TOP PIC) HAD SOME AMAZING COSTUMES, KATIE AND BETHANIE (MIDDLE) WENT FOR SOME DAYGLO NEON FAIRY EFFECT AND FINALLY MY FAVOURITE, VINCENT AND CHLOE (BOTTOM) DID THE MOST AMAZING THING YOU CAN IMAGINE DOING WITH SOME TISSUE, A FEW L.E.DS AND LOTS OF ACTORS RUNNING ABOUT. NICE.
